Abstract

It is shown that the use of formal methods of verification and validation along with model-based systems engineering gives a significant positive effect when designing complex technical systems. The peculiarities of usage of formal verification and validation methods in NPP projects currently being carried out in Russia are considered. A framework for the development process with an emphasis on model-based systems engineering and the verification and validationof solutions in the early stages of development is proposed.
