The Optimal Routes and Modes Selection in Container Multimodal Transportation Networks

Abstract

Based on the characteristic of the container multimodal transportation to choose a variety of transportation models and routes, a model for multimodal transportation organization was constructed to minimize the total cost under the consideration of the transport costs between nodes, transfer costs and average delay costs for mode change. An appropriate algorithm was given to solve the model. An example was also given to verify the model and the algorithm.
