Abstract

The article is devoted the question of reflection of traditions of Tolstoy in works of I.S. Shmelev. The author of this article refers the subject of war in «Sebastopol stories» and «Rough days». The research of this problem shows the similarity of image of tragedy because of the war that is appropriate for both writers.
