Measurement can play a significant role in the effective management and development of Web applications. It provides the scientific basis for Web engineering to become true engineering discipline effective Web project estimation is one of the most important activities in Web development. Proper project planning and control is not possible without a sound and reliable estimate. Although estimating the effort required in developing Web applications is a difficult task, accurate estimates of development effort have an important role to play in the successful management of Web development projects.
