Abstract

Reliable navigational support is of great importance for the safety of navigation, efficient operation of vessels and prevention of ecological disasters. This report reviews the international and national requirements for the navigational facilities of ships in various sailing conditions and the resources to meet them through operation of the global satellite navigational GLONASS and NAVSTAR systems in the standard and differential modes, taking into consideration their future development.
