Abstract

A photovoltaic (PV) source is reliable and emission free. The benefits of the micro-grid include high reliability. Therefore, a micro-grid connected PV system is a feasible source for electricity. However, nowadays the efficiency of a PV array is remains low. In the proposed MPPT algorithm, it was very simple under changing light intensity by only regulating the photovoltaic voltage. The control method was designed to make a sinusoidal current with minimal harmonics distortions, and also the unity power factor to be supplied to the micro-grid too. The performance of the proposed micro-grid connected single-phase photovoltaic inverter with simple MPPT controller was confirmed by simulation.
