It is hoped that the certification exam can be remote to avoid the potential spread of COVID-19. However it must be ensured that other risks are not compromised, so it is necessary to conduct a risk analysis of conducting remote certification exams in COVID-19 conditions using the \"what-if analysis\" method. From the risk analysis, the renewal certification can be remote. But initial and recertification must be face-to-face because there are written and practical exams that have risks related to data radiation safety, security, and confidentiality. Abstract

The competence of radiographic personnel greatly affects the results of quality and safety inspection.
