For this study, a quantitative investigation of correlational scope and cross-section was carried out. In this non-experimental research, we worked with a sample of 619 people from the city of Chiclayo-Peru, the population was selected through a non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The data was collected through the Goldberg Anxiety and Depression scale, a sociodemographic characterization sheet was also used. The results show that anxiety is more prevalent than depression and more persistent in women than men.
