On a class of nonlinear transformations and their applications to the evaluation of infinite series

Abstract

In this paper the problem of increasing the rate of convergence of infinite sequences and series is considered by means of a class of nonlinear transformations. The transformations employed are the discrete analogue of the so called C-transformations and the theory surrounding them is investigated in some detail. The theoretical results are demonstrated by numerous examples.
