Abstract

Irregularities of ionospheric plasma or nuclear fusion quite often have different scales, thereby making it difficult to calculate characteristics of a sounding radio signal. The Double Weighted Fourier Transform (DWFT) method describes Fresnel diffraction effects typical for small-scale irregularities as well as effects of random caustics associated with focusing on lens-like irregularities. This report presents the recent results of studies of statistical characteristics of waves in a multiscale randomly inhomogeneous plasma by the DWFT method.
