Case 34: Hypocapnic Cerebral Hypoperfusion and Effect of End Tidal CO2

Abstract

Patient experienced symptoms of orthostatic intolerance due to cerebral hypoperfusion and to hypocapnic hyperventilation, which is typical for hypocapnic cerebral hypoventilation. (HYCH). Voluntary hyperventilation in supine position reproduced symptoms and findings.
