Abstract

This paper presents the design and characterization of $2\times 2$ circular patch antenna array for 1.8GHz Long Term Evolution (LTE) application. The antenna array consists of 4 circular patches designed on a 1.6mm thick FR4 epoxy dielectric substrate with relative permittivity $(\epsilon_{r})$ of 4.2. An inset feed method is applied to feed each circular patch to improve overall performance of the antenna array.
