Abstract

This article provides an analysis of the Soviet animated series “Well, wait!”. The focus of attention is shifted from the artistic features of Soyuzmultfilm productions to their image component. The work analyzes the images of key and secondary characters, as well as the place and time in which the stories of their interaction unfold. The examination of sixteen episodes produced with the direct participation of Vyacheslav Kotenochkin showed that the series reflected the specifics of the culture of the "stagnation era" in the USSR, and the main ideas about norms and their violations of that time, also showed the growing sympathy for the antihero.
