Berdasarkan rata-rata hasil belajar bahasa Arab siswa mukim ponpes sebesar 79,93 dan siswa mukim rumah 86,48 ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa mukim rumah lebih bagus dibandingkan siswa mukim ponpes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi, perbedaan motivasi belajar bahasa Arab siswa yang tinggal di ponpes dan yang tinggal di rumah serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Mix method model sequential explanatory digunakan dengan populasi siswa kelas 2-5 sebanyak 138 siswa dengan 69 responden setiap kelompoknya melalui instrumen angket, observasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 20.0 dengan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa nilai signifikansi pada motivasi belajar bahasa Arab siswa MI al-Qur’an antara siswa yang tinggal di ponpes dengan yang tinggal di rumah yakni 0,183 lebih besar dari 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan H0 diterima dan Ha ditolak. Bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada motivasi belajar bahasa Arab siswa antara mukim ponpes dengan mukim rumah dan ke dua kelompok menunjukkan motivasi sedang dengan 79,92 persen siswa mukim ponpes dan 82,27 persen siswa mukim rumah. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya meliputi faktor pembelajaran di lingkungan sekolah dan lingkungan tempat tinggal.\nKata kunci: studi komparatif; motivasi belajar; pondok pesantren; lingkungan rumah\nArabic Learning Motivation on al-Qur'an Islamic Elementary School Students at Singosari: A Comparative Study of Students Living in Islamic Boarding School with Living at Home\nIslamic Elementary School (MI) al-Qur'an Singosari has students with the background of living in Islamic boarding school (ponpes) and home. Based on the average learning outcomes of Arabic students living in ponpes of 79.93 and this 86.48 students living in home shows that the learning outcomes of students living at home are better than students living in ponpes. This study aims to describe motivation, differences in the motivation of learning Arabic students living in Islamic boarding schools and living at home and the factors that influence it. Mix Method model Sequential Explanatory is used with a population of students in grade 2-5 as many as 138 students with 69 respondents each group through questionnaire instruments, observations, and interviews. Data analysis techniques are carried out through SPSS version 20.0 application through the independent sample t-test. The results found that the significance value in the motivation of learning Arabic students of MI Al-Qur'an between students living in Islamic Boarding School and students living at home were 0.183 greater than 0.05, it could be concluded H0 was accepted and Ha was rejected that it was not. There is a significant difference in the motivation of learning Arabic students between living in ponpes and living at home and the two groups show moderate motivation with 79.92 percent of Ponpes Mukim students and 82.27 percent of Mukim home students. Abstract
MI al-Qur’an Singosari memiliki siswa berlatar belakang mukim pondok pesantren (ponpes) dan mukim rumah.
