Abstract

Abstract INTRODUCTION The aim of this paper is to clarify some confusing nomenclature of some statistical terms frequently used in the surveying literature. These terms are Standard Deviation and Variance, Root Mean Square (RMS), Mean Square Error and Standard Error.
