Abstract

We present an adaptive receiver design for orthogonal space-time block codes (OSTBCs) with joint channel estimation and jammer suppression. Using an autoregressive (AR) model for the jammer, the channel coefficients and AR parameters are jointly estimated by the extended Kalman filter (EKF). A decision-feedback equalizer (DFE) decoder is then employed for OSTBCs that takes inter-symbol interference due to temporal whitening into account. A sub-optimum linear detector is also derived for the EKF-based receiver.
