The authors present an analysis of semantic modeling components for the purpose of integrating disparate databases for supporting composite access. A set of primitives and constructs of semantic data models are identified and analyzed. These can provide a basis for a reasonable comparison and integration of different semantic data models. The ability to access disparate databases for composite queries by a unified view of relevant data objects from different databases is practical.
