The proposed reference quantity estimation technique is shown to be capable of extracting fundamental of load current with less THD and phase of source voltage accurately. Abstract

This paper presents an algorithm for generation of reference quantity using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Multi Resolution Analysis (MRA) for load compensation using DSTATCOM. A comprehensive control strategy for DSTATCOM should be simple, accurate, and should be able to extract most of the voltage and current distortions accurately even under the power system frequency variation.
