Aerospace firms are now faced with evaluat ing t h i s approach and determining how they w i l l phase i t into t h e i r method o f doing b usiness . TRW developed a program in 1968 based on fundamental concepts which are genera l ly c o n s i s te n t with the current Air Force Intrasystem EMC Analysis Program (IEMCAP). During the l a s t e igh t y e a r s , considerable experience has been obtained through the ap p lica t io n o f the TRW program to a v a r ie ty o f systems including space v e h ic l e s , a i r c r a f t , m i s s i l e s , and ground s t a t io n s . The purpose o f t h i s paper i s to d i s t i l l from t h i s experience those fac tors which can be o f value in helping government and industry understand the . problems assoc ia ted with implementing t h i s approach as well as the mutual b e n e f i t s .
