Social network and regional economic growth

Abstract

This paper uses the number of Hakka population at the county level to measure the Hakka social network, and empirically studies the impact of Hakka social network on regional economic growth. The study finds that the estimation coefficients of Hakka population variables are significantly positive, which indicates that there is a positive correlation between the number of Hakka population and the level of regional fixed assets investment and economic growth, indicating that the stronger social network can significantly increase regional investment and promote regional economic growth.
