Abstract
We present architectures of "Green Femtocell" in which hybrid wireless-wired home infrastructure is suggested to limit drastically the emitted radio signals in-house. Proposed architecture consists of a femtocell connected through wired home infrastructure to a set of nodes, called home access nodes (HAN's). The HAN is used to limit the wireless emissions to levels below 1mW; adapt the radio signal to the wired media, and perform initial identification of the target radio signal. This architecture demonstrates the concept of very-low-radiation distributed antenna system (VLR-DAS) for distribution of various radio-protocols including 3G, LTE, IMT-Advanced and WiMax as radio-over-X (optical fiber, Coax, power-line, Cat-5, etc.).
