Abstract

We show the design, fabrication, and characterization of transverse electric mode semiconductor optical isolators with Co. The device lengths are shorter than those of typical laser diodes. Transmitted light intensity altered with clear polarization dependence, which can be applied in a wide range of applications in photonic integrated circuits.
