A Method for Improving the Accuracy of Direction of Arrival Measurement based on Sparse Vector Estimation

Abstract

This paper presents a method to determine the direction of arrival (DOA) of electromagnetic waves to a linear array of antennas. It is based on Discrete Fourier Transform and uses a sparse vector estimation technique to improve the accuracy. Unlike the other existent methods, this approach allows DOA estimation in a “single shot” data acquisition.
