The calculation of the critical torque to the frequency of the reference signal for the assessment of adjustment possibilities at high speeds is performed. The urgency of the task of the mathematical models synthesis for the electrotechnical system on the basis of the AC electric drive with the field regulated reluctance machine is identified. The results reviews that the field regulated reluctance machine have a high overload capability and this fact shows that this electric drive can be used in the processing facilities with heavy duty operation. Abstract
