Abstract
A new switching sequence for a high power factor three phase converter is presented. By using the switching sequence, we can get a lower cost converter by letting the currents of upper-side-switches and lower-side-switches be unbalanced intentionally. Additionally, the three phase converter employs new ZVS topology with a transformer. The transformer makes the circuit design easier and the auxiliary switch for ZVS can switch under ZCS condition. With these technologies, we developed a high power factor, high efficiency, low noise, low cost three phase converter.
