Abstract

A tunable antenna utilizing a new reconfigurable frequency selective surface (FSS) is studied in this paper. It is composed of a dipole antenna and hexagonal FSS composed by five columns of active periodic structures. The dipole used as an exiting source is placed at the center of the Active hexagonal FSS.
