Abstract

In this paper, the performance of outage probability (Pout) and average bit error rate (BER) for Terahertz communications under the impact of random fog conditions and pointing errors is studied. In particular, we derive closed-form analytical expressions for Pout and average BER. At high signal-to-noise ratio values, simple tight approximations for Pout and average BER are obtained. To validate the correctness of the derived analytical expressions, numerical results are corroborated with Monte-Carlo simulation.
