One application is in the adaptive cancellation of nonlinear intersymbol interference for voiceband data transmission. The model, which is in the form of a nonlinear difference equation, can be rapidly identified and routinely updated as new input-output points become available. Abstract
An orthogonal algorithm is presented for adaptively modeling dispersive nonlinear channels encountered in data transmission.
