Urbanization in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in the period 2010 - 2020

Abstract

From 2010 to 2020, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has achieved many achievements in urbanization. The urban population size is continuously increasing, the urban population rate is higher than the national average, the urban economy grows stably, the urban economic structure shifts in a positive direction, the labor force non-agriculture continuously increased, and urban infrastructure was modernized synchronously. The article focuses on studying the status of urbanization in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province through the population, economy, land use, city infrastructure, and city network indicators. From the study of the current status of urbanization, the author proposes some solutions for urban development in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
