Abstract

We consider two methods for analyzing soliton impulses propagation in dispersion managed communication lines described by a nonlinear differential equation. The first method is the split-step Fourier method (SSFM), and the second one is a modification of the Runge-Kutta method (RK). The obtained results show that the SSFM and the RK are perspective methods for numerical simulation and optimization of high-speed long-distance soliton transmission links.
