Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of teacher collegiality on teacher organizational and professional commitment in high-achieving and low-achieving public secondary schools of Islamabad. The study also identified the differences in teacher collegiality, organizational commitment, and professional commitment between teachers in high-achieving and low-achieving secondary schools. It further examined the effects of teacher personal variables of gender, educational attainment, and professional experience on their collegiality, organizational commitment, and professional commitment. As many as 364 teachers from highand low-achieving schools in Islamabad took part in this study by answering a survey questionnaire on collegiality and commitment.
