Abstract

In April 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China issued a regulation to adjust the use plan of the 700MHz frequency band, clarifying that this frequency band was changed from the traditional broadcast TV services to 5G telecommunication services. The 700MHz frequency band has the advantages of low propagation loss, high penetration, and large coverage. It is the golden frequency band for the 5G services development, but it will also work adjacent to DTMB (digital terrestrial multimedia broadcasting) services.
