The research instrument used in the form of RPP, LKPD, observation sheets, and test papers has been adjusted to the learning model of Discovery Learning and problem-solving. Before use in learning, the research instrument has been through validation stages. The data collection technique in this study is done in class VIII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Belitang Mulya using tests and observations. The results showed the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who are in a good category is as much as 50% and 50% are in the category less. The implementation at the first meeting was quite good with an average of 45.2% and at the second meeting was well done with an average of 67.3%. The lack of mathematical problem-solving ability is influenced by some things that occur in learning.
