Abstract
This study aims to provide perceptions of library and information science professionals towards adoption, use, assessment and future perspective of podcasting technology. The results of this study revealed that majority of the LIS professionals who participated in this survey are working in academic libraries as librarians and engaged for more than two years in podcasting technology due to increasing use of mobile technologies. Lack of skills, nine steps as mentioned in figure number-7, and appropriate infrastructure development were found critical issues for adopting, evaluating and augmenting of podcasting technology. This technology will be fully used by LIS professionals for various purposes at very high level. This study may be helpful to find different views and insights of LIS professionals who are connected to the podcasting technology.
