Features and assumptions of using sociological surveys and studies to assess the audience of television programs

Abstract

The presently used approach to assessing the audience of television programs and the methodology of calculation by the method of selective statistical analysis using survey and panel sociological studies is described in the article. The features and assumptions of the method are considered, which for several cases can give distorted results or allow their complete absence due to insufficient sampling.
