The experience of regional policy as an element of improving public administration

Abstract

The article is devoted to assessing the response of regional policy at different stages of the development of the Russian Federation. The analysis of the state planning system in the USSR and post-Soviet Russia is carried out. The issues of sustainable socio-economic development of the regions of the Russian Federation, which are important for the system of public administration, are considered. The role of macro-regions-federal districts in the system of regional policy in terms of combining the strategic interests of the center and the regions is deter-mined.
