Abstract

Crystallization of a Na2O-K2O-Nb2O5-SiO2 glass under thermal poling and subsequent annealing was studied by Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffractometry. It was found that the poling and subsequent thermal treatment lead to partial crystallization of the poled region of the glass, which should be related with watering the glass in the course of the thermal poling
