Affordable Housing—At What Price?

Abstract

Abstract I heartedly concur with Joel Russell's observations of the Massachusetts land-use statutes. Meaningful land-use planning in Massachusetts is an oxymoron, a combination of Byzantine governmental relationships and historically limited leadership in the land-use field at the state level. I offer two additional problems to Joel's list of woes.
