Abstract

Although the myth of perpetual providential growth is loosing traction, degrowth ideas still struggle to materialize into concrete socio-political transformations. Degrowth proposals and narratives often remain vague and abstract, which hinders political adoption. In this context, prospective tools can help define and refine proposals and assess their potential, to enlighten collective deliberation. Prospective approaches could usefully feed direct and continuous democratic processes, the deployment of which should be the common goal and priority for all social struggles, for this fight contains them all.
