The present study explores the conundrum of sovereignty and integration in the aftermath of the Brexit vote and its implications for international trade relations. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, the study begins by situating the concept of sovereignty within its historical and philosophical roots. The evolution of integration in Europe and the relationship between sovereignty and integration are also explored.
