Abstract

This paper presents, in a comparative manner, the performances of two Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM), which are used as actuators in various automotive applications. The stator of the first electric machine is based on a Vernier topology and the second has a classical structure. This paper will include an electromagnetic and thermal analysis.
