Uma análise de teses e dissertações sobre universidade no Brasil: sentidos, historicidade e contradições

Abstract

The text systematizes research carried out in 45 final postgraduate studies in Education produced in 26 Brazilian public institutions, included in the CAPES Thesis and Dissertations Catalog. The research aimed to approach and debate the meanings of the university, its historicity and its social meanings. As a theoretical and methodological basis, the Analysis of Senses Movements was chosen, elaborated in the research group in which we work, which guided the interpretation, analysis, understanding and systematization of the data. The research indicated that the central importance of the university lies in being able to catalyze Brazilian social demands and thus produce other ways of thinking and acting for the production of socially referenced knowledge.
