Saqqara: research 2020

Abstract

In the 2020 campaign, research started in 2018 at the eastern bank of the Dry Moat was continued, which resulted in the discovery of a rock-cut structure south of the Corridor 1. Also, the rock-cut chapel being part of a 6th Dynasty funerary complex situated south of the tomb of Merefnebef was explored. In both areas, burials of the Upper Necropolis were also found. An important part of the programme were conservation activities.
