International manufacturing configurations and transforming strategies

Abstract

This paper describes some preliminary research on international manufacturing. It identifies the main research tasks as the development of a taxonomy of international manufacturing networks and the exploration of strategy processes for globalisation. An industrial case is given to show the process of developing global manufacturing strategy.
