Abstract

It is a great challenge to locate the partial discharge in power cables induced by different types of insulation defects. To overcome the challenge, a new method based on the Granndo model is developed in this paper. The incident and reflected waveforms are obtained through the cable partial discharge calibration experiment, and then the attenuation constant and dispersion constant of Granndo model are determined.
