Abstract

The whole design cycle, including design, fabrication and characterization of a broadband double-ridged horn antenna equipped with a parabolic lens and a waveguide adapter is presented in this paper. A major goal of the presented work was to obtain high directivity with a flat phase characteristic within the main radiation lobe at an 18–40 GHz frequency range, so that the antenna can be applicable in a freespace material characterization setup.
