The Li-ion battery is comparatively costly than the lead-acid battery. The state of the charge is important parameter for the consideration of the battery performance. The determination of the SOC involves the measurement of the open circuit voltage. The estimation of the SOC is the parameter to be considered in the case of the battery of the electric vehicles. The monitoring should be very accurate so that the battery management system can be very effective.
