Abstract

This chapter moves onto the work in Full Sutton. Mirroring chapter 5, it begins with a description of the prison and a discussion of what happened in the philosophy classroom. Full Sutton, being a more traditional prison the chapter offers an insight into the prison environment. Focusing on the religious tensions, the chapter discusses some of the issues of being a Muslim in the prison system and provides a rich description of the turbulent journey towards community among mainstream and vulnerable prisoners
