Abstract
Recently, the need for security system devices using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems tends to increase. It is well-known that RFID is a small planar-shaped electronic device consisting of an electronic microchip and antenna. In this paper, the design of a rectangular patch antenna with double-F-slot in the frequency range of 2.4GHz–2.48GHz is presented in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia for Short Range Device (SRD) applications. The proposed antenna is designed on an FR-4 epoxy dielectric substrate with the thickness of 1.6mm and the relative permittivity of 4.4. The proposed antenna has the patch dimensions of 36.9mm × 27.1mm and the dimensions of 46.5mm × 35.4mm. Simulation results of the proposed antenna has the S11 value of –46.83 dB, the bandwidth response of 63MHz for the S11 ≤ –10dB, and the gain achievement of 1.201dBi at the frequency of 2.47 GHz.
