Abstract

A design of waveguide switch component in Ka band for SAR system is proposed in this paper, which can realize the function of switching between main/backup channels and several operating modes of SAR system. The microwave performance of the waveguide switch is improved by adapting the choke ring in the circumferential direction and the polarization choke in the axial direction. Through the combination of six waveguide switches, the isolation level between channels is promoted in the whole band.
